El Salvador 2011- No Regrets
As I sit in my room, the house quiet, I barely can keep quiet myself. In a few hours I am leaving for El Salvador for the second time in 5 months. I am so excited I cant sleep. As I've been sitting here, the pictures and voices of the people in El Salvador keep playing in my mind. My heart is saddened at the fact that most of the same children will still be sitting in the same spot of the same orphanage when I go, but at the same time I am excited to get to see some of them again as well as many new sweet faces. This trip things are going to be a lot different, we are going to a few places I haven't been to before. Our group has 28 amazing people in it, and I could not be more thankful for each and every one of them. God has brought this team together in the most amazing way. All 28 of us have worked extremely hard to get everything together and raise money to meet needs while we are there. We have not had a single fundraiser, but yet God has provided 15,000 dollars for us to take with us to meet needs that we find need to be met. We are so looking forward to what God has in store for this trip. My prayer is that He will use us to do things that are bigger than us, to do things that only He can do. I pray that the people of El Salvador not see me, but they see my Heavenly Father through me. As we are there to be the hands and feet of Christ I pray that we not pass up an opportunity to share the gospel, but that we surrender to Him and follow Him with reckless abandon and leave with no regrets....
